Fun Wearable Summer Night Makeup using Darling Girl Cosmetics

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I've busted out my DGC shadows last, so I felt like having a little fun with them the other night. Since the weather has been nicer recently, I've been inspired to do more summer appropriate looks. Now this look is quite deep and dark, but with the shimmer and the hint of purple, I feel like it would be great for a summer night out. Let me know what you think!

I'm not entirely sure I remember the shadows I used to do this. I think I did L'Oréal Infallible Shadow in Tender Caramel as a base all over the lid and then I built over that. I think I did Dark Heart and Dark Crystal in the crease and outer corners and Beluga Bebe on the inner lid, but I could be wrong! Sorry about that :S I totally forgot to make notes of the colors I used. :( Hope you still enjoyed this!

Navy Blue Eye with a Pop of Burgundy

I've been feeling like doing a navy smokey eye for a bit now. I did one way back in the day and I had really loved the results. I thought it would be nice to do it again now that I have a better set up. I didn't want to recreate my old look exactly, so I decided to put a twist on it and add a pop of burgundy to the center of the lid. I'm really quite happy with how it looks and I think it would be perfect for a night out!

Ombre Metallic Copper and Gold Liner with Dramatic Cut Crease

Hey everyone! Sorry my post is a little late, I've been busy lately. Quick post today since I'm studying and don't have much time. Just tought I would share this makeup look I did! Fun fact, this is a actually a fail trial run for a Jafar inspired makeup look. Now, I'm super happy with this look, it's only that I feel it's not quite Jafar-esque enough to warrant it being an inspired makeup. Since I can't use it for my Disney Villains series (at least in my opinion), but still do really love it, I thought I would just post it randomly to show you all! If you want me to list the products I used for this just ask for it in the comments. For the time being I won't include them just to save a little time because I really need to go back to my studying! Have a good evening!

My Little Pony Series : Queen Chrysalis Inspired Makeup

Hey everyone! Welcome back to another installment of this My Little Pony Series. Today, I was inspired by Queen Chrysalis. I really wanted to do something inspired by her because I thought she was really unique looking and that it would be fun to do something original to represent her.

I decided to recreate the holes in her body and hair on my lids! It was kind of a challenge to find a way to do it and to put that plan into action, but I think it turned out pretty cool looking in the end. If you're curious, I used rhinestones (glued with eyelash glue) and nail stickers which I glued on my lids until the colors were all applied. I peeled them off after that to create the holed look. I colored the holes in with a nude pencil to make them stand out even more. I also created the shape of her hair in the crease and I replicated the little balls that stick out of her head on my lower lash line. I don't think she has a cutie mark so I skipped that, but correct me if I'm wrong.

The Hunger Games Inspired Makeup Series : District 2

Hey everyone! I'm back with district two today! District two is where most peacekeepers are trained and it's pretty much considered the weapon district. It's also known for its stone quarries which a lot of the District's inhabitants work in.

Because of that, I decided to go with a really dramatic black and slate color theme, with just a hint of green to keep things interesting. To me, this dark and intense look represents the stones and the deeps of the undergrounds, but also the somber reality surrounding weapons. I'm not expressing my thoughts very clearly, but to me, weapons and stones are synonymous with deep shades and dramatic shapes. So check out what I came up with :

Fall Series : Favorite Nail Polish Shades for Autumn

Hey everyone! Today I'm sharing another post from my Fall Series! This one is about my favorite polish shades for autumn! If you followed my blog over the summer, I also did one of these for my favorite summer polish shades

Fall is my favorite season of the year so I'm particularly excited about these! It's mostly dark shades of red, blue and purple as you can see! I don't have a true red polish in my collection anymore (I can't believe I hadn't noticed until now) and I plan on getting a new one soon, but if I did, I would have included it into this selection.

Favorite Polishes for Fall

Nail Swatches
Revlon polishes : Star Attraction, Royal and Vixen

Star Attraction, Vixen, Royal

Sinful Colors Polishes : Midnight Blue, Let's Talk, Daddy's Girl

Daddy's Girl (jelly finish), Let's Talk, Midnight Blue

- L'Oréal After Hours (this one stains quite a bit, use with a top coat or get blue tinged nails after)
- Sally Hansen Oxblood
- Wet n Wild : Burgundy Frost and Hannah Pinktana (this one dries semi matte)

Oxblood, Burgundy Frost, After Hours, Hannah Pinktana

That's all for my favorite nail polishes for Fall. What colors do you like to wear when the weather grows colder? What are you favorite polishes? Let me know in the comments! I'm always looking for new nail polish shades to try out!
