Fun Wearable Summer Night Makeup using Darling Girl Cosmetics

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I've busted out my DGC shadows last, so I felt like having a little fun with them the other night. Since the weather has been nicer recently, I've been inspired to do more summer appropriate looks. Now this look is quite deep and dark, but with the shimmer and the hint of purple, I feel like it would be great for a summer night out. Let me know what you think!

I'm not entirely sure I remember the shadows I used to do this. I think I did L'Oréal Infallible Shadow in Tender Caramel as a base all over the lid and then I built over that. I think I did Dark Heart and Dark Crystal in the crease and outer corners and Beluga Bebe on the inner lid, but I could be wrong! Sorry about that :S I totally forgot to make notes of the colors I used. :( Hope you still enjoyed this!

Sweet Cherry Blossom Makeup Inspired by Darling Girl Cosmetics

Hey everyone! Today I have more of an understated look to share on here. It's a sweet pink and purple look that kind of reminds me of a romantic spring day when the cherry blossoms are in bloom. Kind of a weird time to be thinking about Cherry Blossoms and perhaps this looks would work better on Valentine's day than in the middle of Fall, but I was playing around with my Darling Girl Cosmetics shadows and this is what I came up with. I love how soft and feminine it is!

Since the colors I used have a colored sheen to them, they're even more stunning in real life. They appear somewhat muted when photographed. Since the colors are hard to photograph, I'll add links to the colors that I used so that you can check out good swatches of them on the DGC website. Their swatches really show the iridescence and color shifts of the shades.

Makeup look : Glittery Silver Smokey Eye With Pop of Purple

Hey everyone! The other night, I was messing around with my palettes and I wanted to do something with my new Milani Purple pencil liner as well as my new Ardène Silver/Rainbow Glitter Liner. I played around a little and this is what I came up with! It's a silver smokey eye with glittery liner and a pop of purple on the lower lashline and waterline. I kind of like how it turned out, what do you think of this?

I haven't done a makeup look without an inspiration for a long time! It feels kind of odd! I don't have as much to say about it because of that. Anyway, I guess that's all for today!

The Hunger Games Inspired Makeup Series : District 4 (Fishing)

Hey everyone! Today I'm back again with the Hunger Games series! I'm getting more and more excited about the movie release at this point and this series is only making it that much harder to wait (but also that much more exciting!).  The movie comes out in two weeks if I'm not mistaken. I kind of want to re-read the series to get myself ready for the movie, but I'm not sure I have enough time with school and work. Anyway, this is district four, the fishing district.

I went quite literal for this one and I and basically drew a swimming fish on my eye. This is obviously as unwearable as it gets, but it looks really cool in my opinion. Let me know what you think!

Beginner Series : Easy Lilac Eyes for Spring

Hello everyone, I'm back with another tutorial for my beginner series :)

This is a pastel, lilac with blue look inspired by a request I got on my Facebook Page. Thanks for the request Victoria, I love to know what you all want to see! ♥

I'm trying out a new format for my tutorial, a kind of collage inspired thing. Let me know if you like this and if this is easier to follow.

This is the look I'll show you how to recreate :

---

Material

---

Tutorial

Step 1 : Start with a clean surface.
Step 2 : Apply a white shadow base to the lid.
Step 3 : Blend out the base with your fingers.
Step 4 : Pat on a pale purple color to the first 2/3 of the lid.
Step 5 : Apply a darker Purple shadow to the outer corner in a triangular shape. Blend the two lid colors together slightly using the same brush.
Step 6 : Using a shimmery pale purple, highlight the inner corner.
Step 7 : Using a medium shimmery blue, blend out the dark purple and apply to the crease.
Step 8 : Apply a blue toned purple to the lash line.
Step 9 : Apply liner, mascara and falsies (optional).

---

That's all for this look! I hope you enjoyed it and that the tutorial was helpful :)
