Hey everyone! Happy Valentine's Day! Here's just a quick makeup inspiration that I feel would be great for those of you that are a little more bold with their makeup looks! It's still quite wearable in my opinion, but the colorful gradient liner is really fun and pretty.

Casual Valentine's Day Date Outfit Inspiration

Hey everyone! I don't do fashion posts very often, but today I thought I would post a Valentine's day outfit inspiration for you all! I just recently discovered Polyvore and I'm really addicted! It's the perfect way to do fashion inspiration boards! I love it <3. Anyone else uses Polyvore?

I created these 3 outfits with a casual setting in mind. I don't know about all of you, but whenever I see outfit inspiration that includes dresses and heels I just feel like it's a little much and that I would never personally have an occasion to wear that. Yes, even on Valentine's day I'd be uncomfortable in a dress or skirt. Restaurants or venues that actually require you to dress up are quite rare around here (unless they are incredibly pricey), so I never really have to dress up. Meaning, a cute well-put together outfit, with jeans and a nice top is as dressy as I'll go most of the time, even on a date.

These outfits are for all of you guys that feel the same and that are looking for ideas for a cute romantic outfit for a date or for Valentine's day. Would you wear something like this? Let me know in the comments!

Valentine's Day Date Makeup Using Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

Today I have another Valentine's Day date makeup look to share. For this one I used the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. I feel like the Naked Palettes are really perfect for romantic, natural but seductive eye looks. I'm really enjoying this series! Apparently I'm doing them in reverse order, the last being the Naked 1 which will be coming up soon!

For this look I went for a very defined crease with a very shimmery eye. I kept the edge of the shadow super neat by applying a tape during makeup application. I chose full long lashes and a noticeable, but not too thick winged liner. I kept the face very flawless and accentuated my cheeks and lips with a soft pink color. Overall, I think this look is perfect for a romantic date! I hope you all enjoy it ♥

Valentine's Day Date Makeup using Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

Hey all! Since Valentine's Day is right around the corner I thought I'd start a mini series using the 3 Naked Palettes to create romantic date night makeup looks! I was most excited about doing a look using the Naked 3 Palette because of the rosey shades so I'm starting with this one.

I did a rosey sort of smokey look with heavy winged liner paired with a rose colored glossy lip. I really enjoy how this turned out! It's soft, and pretty, but kind of gives a smoldering look, perfect for a date night! Keep reading if you want to know how I created this look. ♥

Sweet Cherry Blossom Makeup Inspired by Darling Girl Cosmetics

Hey everyone! Today I have more of an understated look to share on here. It's a sweet pink and purple look that kind of reminds me of a romantic spring day when the cherry blossoms are in bloom. Kind of a weird time to be thinking about Cherry Blossoms and perhaps this looks would work better on Valentine's day than in the middle of Fall, but I was playing around with my Darling Girl Cosmetics shadows and this is what I came up with. I love how soft and feminine it is! 

Since the colors I used have a colored sheen to them, they're even more stunning in real life. They appear somewhat muted when photographed. Since the colors are hard to photograph, I'll add links to the colors that I used so that you can check out good swatches of them on the DGC website. Their swatches really show the iridescence and color shifts of the shades.

Food Snapshots : Valentine's Day Meal

Now, I know Valentine's Day was forever ago, but I have a couple pretty pictures of the meal I cooked for Mathieu and I for the occasion, so I thought I would share. Anyway, the food itself isn't Valentine's day themed or anything, it's just what we had for supper that night :)

Since it was a special occasion, I took the time to make maki rolls instead of serving them temaki style. Turned out great 

Chardonnay to accompany the sushi and cheese fondue. Didn't take a picture of the fondue, because it wasn't nearly as pretty as it was tasty!
