FOTD : A Hint of Green for St-Patty's Day

Here's what I chose to wear for Saint-Patrick's day on sunday. I ended up wearing just a hint of green on my eyes instead of full on green. Very wearable all year round and perfect for spring imo!

Funny story, I had the hardest time gluing my lashes on one side. I actually stuck it partly on the upper waterline -_- I started blinking and glue just got everyone in my lashes and stuff. Bleh, I'm terrible at putting on lashes. It worked out in the end, but what a pain in the butt lol!

TAG : Beauty Things I Suck At

This is a relatively new tag going around on YouTube and I think quite interesting to watch (plus the title is so funny). I think it was created by Rubenesquex3 on YouTube (correct me if I'm wrong). Anyway I thought I would give it a go myself and tell you all what are the beauty things I can never do properly!

So let's begin!


1 - Liquid liner
This one is pretty obvious. Lots of people struggle with liner in general. Mine is always wonky and uneven and it drives me nuts. Most of the time I end up making the line thicker until I get it the way I want and by then, it's wayyyy too thick I have to start over *cries*. I love gel liner though, it's so much easier to be in control and make a thin line.

2 - Filling my eyebrows
I've never tried all that hard to learn. I quite like the way my eyebrows look naturally and I'm really afraid to end up with creepy drawn-on looking eyebrows lol. I can't find a color that will match my eyebrows either.

3- Blush
For some reason, I find it really difficult to ensure that my blush isn't patchy. No matter how much I blend it always feels uneven. Actually, lately I've been really into cream blush which I don't have that problem with.

4 -Hair
I'm such a fail at hairstyling it's not even funny. I cannot do anything with my hair. I can't give it volume and I can't curl it properly (plus it takes forever to curl). The only things I can do is plain ponytails and french braids.

5 - Applying false lashes
I've been practicing so I'm getting better at it, but it's still takes me sometimes up to 2-3 attempts to get them right. They always stick out at the inner corner *grumble*.

6 - Washing my brushes
Not much of an explanation needed here. I should do it more often -_-

7- Filing my nails
I cannot get them to be squared no matter how hard I try.

8 - Fixing my cuticles
Whenever I try to push them back I have the overwhelming feeling that I have no clue what I'm doing. So most of the time they look like crap. XD

9- Lipstick
Unless the color is very close to my natural lip color I cannot do lipstick. It looks dry, and seeps into all the lines in my lips. For some reason, it also slides around, no matter how matte my lips are before I put it on. Maybe I should try lipliner? The fact that my lips are super pigmented doesn't help either, any pale color doesn't work on me. I've tried the concealer trick before. It looked awful. :X

10 -Being trendy
In terms of fashion, I'm probably the  least trendy person I know. I have a tendency to hate most fashion trends for the longest time, then start gradually liking them months after they've been out of style XD Oh well.

My Little Pony Series : Rainbow Dash Inspired Makeup

Today, I'm doing the fourth installment of my My Little Pony Makeup inspired series! I present : Rainbow Dash, the fastest flying pony around. She's playful and has tons of energy. I just love her rainbow mane  ♥

The fierce Rainbow Dash

I had sooo many issues making the cutie mark for Rainbow Dash. I think it came out alright in the end, but I'm so bad at drawing with liner -_-

I felt like making it different so I did the rainbow in the crease instead of on the lid. The lid color represents her body color and the pink on the lower lashline is supposed to look like her eye color.

This one was a lot of fun to make :D

St-Patrick's Day Inspired Makeup

Hello everyone! I'm back with another makeup look :D

This time, it's inspired by St-Patrick's Day which is tomorrow! I think I'll be making green beer to celebrate the holiday this year! I'd love to wear something green also, but quite frankly I don't think I own any :P

Anyway, I'm not Irish or anything, but I love any reason to celebrate, so here's a festive look for the holiday! ♥

When I think of St-Patty's day, I think of clovers, Leprechauns and the pot of gold so that's pretty much the colors I went for :)

No lashes for this look because I got lazy. Kind of wish I had stuck some on though, my lashes kind of look sad  just like that. The Clump Crusher mascara really does a good job of making them look dark and full though :)

Really happy of how this look turned out. It was one of my first time playing with glitter. Now I want more!

My Little Pony Series : Twilight Sparkle Inspired Makeup

Hey everyone! I'm back with the second installment of my new makeup series : My Little Pony! Today I've chose to get inspired by the series leading character : Twilight Sparkle. ♥

The brainy Twilight Sparkle :D

I think the colors turned out nicely on this one!

The crease color is inspired by Twilight Sparkle's hair. The pink and purple on the lid are supposed to represent the streaks of color in her hair and the bottom lashline represents the color of her body.

I tried drawing on her markings like I did with Fluttershy, but it was such a fail that I just gave up XD

My Little Pony Series : Fluttershy Inspired Makeup

Since Spring is just around the corner, now is the perfect time for bright colors and pastels. I felt inspired to do something more vibrant than what I've been into recently (mostly neutrals really) so I decided to start a new series!

My brothers introduced me to MLP a few months back (they're big MLP fans) and I've watched a few episodes so far. I'ts really entertaining and cute. Anyway, I love the drawings and the colors of the ponies, so that's what inspired me to start this series :)

First up is Fluttershy, my favorite pony so far! I love her pretty pink hair and her big aqua eyes. ♥

I tried replicating the butterfly marks she has. Turned out to be more difficult than I anticipated :P

Beauty Haul : Neutrogena, Hard Candy, OPI, Maybelline, Revlon, Macadamia and more!

Hey there! I've got a haul for you all today yay! (that rimed :p). We went to Montreal for a few days  this week and I went shopping a little bit there so I thought I would show you all what I got. There's a little bit of everything in there since I went to Winners, Dollorama, the drugstore and Walmart.

I wouldn't, I'm engaged to someone from the present already :)

- To be able to eat anything I want and never gain weight (LOL, I love to eat don't judge me :P)
