Pokemon Series : Kakuna Inspired Makeup Look

 Hello everyone! So it's been ages since I've last posted a makeup look. Like I said in my previous couple of posts, I've been ridiculously busy with school. I've been on internship for the past month and most of it was in Montreal which means I wasn't home. It's been almost impossible to do makeup away from home since I didn't have the right setup for it. (trust me, I tried and the results were really terrible :/) I'm back home now, but still doing another internship 40 hours a week. I'm really tired whenever I get back so it only leaves me with the weekend to work on the blog.

Thankfully I found a bit of time this week to prepare a few makeup looks for you all! I also found this Kakuna makeup I did before I left that I never had the chance to use. I don't remember all the products I used to create it tough so I'll just explain briefly what I remember. I used mostly my BH 120 1st Edition Palette and the Coastal Scents 88 Warm for the shadows. I can't remember the false lashes, brow products or liner I used but the mascara is the Clump Crusher as usual. Hope you all enjoy this one! Sailor Saturn Inspired Makeup Look

Here's the last of the Sailor Moon series! It's Sailor Saturn ♥ I love her colors the best of all the Sailors! I just think she looks so mysterious and I love the purple :) I hope you enjoyed this series as much as I did making it!

Sailor Mercury Inspired Makeup Look

Hey everyone! Today I have another makeup look inspired by Sailor Moon! This one is Sailor Mercury! I had to do this one over a few times until I finally got a look that I like. I found it kind of hard to incorporate her teal hair with the rest of the blues from her outfit at first, but I'm pretty pleased with how the colors tie in together in the end. Sailor Mars Inspired Makeup Look

Welcome back for another edition of my Sailor Moon Series! Today I'm sharing a look inspired by the fiery Sailor Mars! I remember thinking that Sailor Mars' personality really suits her looks. She is fierce and fearless, which I think is represented perfectly by her bold red uniform and hair.

Sailor Moon Inspired Makeup Look

Hey all! Today, I'm starting yet another new colorful series for you all! This series will focus on the characters of the anime Sailor Moon. I used to love this show growing up so I thought it would be a lot of fun to make looks inspired by the characters. First up is the most obvious choice : Sailor Moon herself!

For this look I went with a bright bold blue brow, a matte yellow cut crease and a pop of red on the lower lid. I also chose to line my eyes with a blue liquid liner to intensify the look even further. I really love the way this turned out, especially the shimmery blue brows! My Little Pony Series : Fluttershy Inspired Makeup

Since Spring is just around the corner, now is the perfect time for bright colors and pastels. I felt inspired to do something more vibrant than what I've been into recently (mostly neutrals really) so I decided to start a new series!

My brothers introduced me to MLP a few months back (they're big MLP fans) and I've watched a few episodes so far. I'ts really entertaining and cute. Anyway, I love the drawings and the colors of the ponies, so that's what inspired me to start this series :)

First up is Fluttershy, my favorite pony so far! I love her pretty pink hair and her big aqua eyes. ♥

With flash. I think you can see the colors better with the flash.

I tried replicating the butterfly marks she has. Turned out to be more difficult than I anticipated :P

Otakuthon 2011

Every year, for the past couple of years, there has been an anime convention called Otakuthon organised in Montréal. When I first heard about it, I couldn’t believe my ears! I’ve been there for the first time last year (no Cosplay though, I chickened out!) and it was amazing! I missed most of the panels I wanted to see (Cosplay, origami, making sushi, etc.) because I was too busy roaming around the shops ^_^, the selection was absolutely mind blowing!

I’m planning on going again this year and I’m hoping it’ll be even better! The cafe cosplay was really cool (although I’m not sure the takoyaki and curry tonkatsu I ate we’re very authentic) and the ambiance was amazing! I loved watching all the super original costumes everyone had ^^ I cannot wait for Otakuthon 2011! This time around, I will try and cosplay too! =p It looks like so much fun!
