Sparkly Blue Jay Inspired Makeup using Darling Girl Cosmetics

Hey everyone! Today I'm sharing a makeup look I did recently using Darling Girl Cosmetics shadows. This wasn't a planned makeup look, I just felt like  experimenting with colors and techniques and came up with this. I feel like it looks sort of blue jay inspired though (hence the name), I did a sandwich technique for the eyeshadow (is that how you call it?), a colored brow, colored liner and really cool feather lashes. (which were freaking hard to apply by the way XD) I love the results, it's so whimsical and colorful! What do you all think?

Disney Villains Series : Ursula Inspired Makeup

Hey all! It's been quite a long time since the last time I posted a makeup look. I hope to stir things back up again I thought I would be nice to start with an old series of mine, the Disney series! To be more precise, this one is the Disney Villains series. I've had Ursula on my to-do list forever now, but the last time I tried doing it, it was a disaster. This time it turned out much better although my colors are quite as precise as I had hoped. Anyway, hope you all enjoy this! :)

Pokemon Series : Arbok Inspired Makeup Look

Hey everyone! Long time no see! I've taken a little break from blogging, but it seems my inspiration is back for the most part so I'll try and make the most out of it :) First up is another look from the Pokemon Series. I went to NYC last week and we visited the Nintendo store. I got a Pokemon sticker book and it's quite inspiring. The first one I decided to do is one of team Rocket's most oldschool companions : Arbok!

I decided to recreate the design on its torso on my lid and the backdrop is the color of its body. I also added a colored brow for good measure. I quite like the way this one turned out, what do you all think? Let me know in the comments! Also, which other Pokemon would you like to see?

I Don't Know What to Name This : Colorful Summer Makeup

Hey all! Today I have another really colorful sort of pastel summer makeup look. I have no clue what I should name this one, hence the title I guess. If you have any ideas please let me know in the comments! I would highly appreciate it! Without further ado, here the makeup look :)

Pokemon Series : Kakuna Inspired Makeup Look

 Hello everyone! So it's been ages since I've last posted a makeup look. Like I said in my previous couple of posts, I've been ridiculously busy with school. I've been on internship for the past month and most of it was in Montreal which means I wasn't home. It's been almost impossible to do makeup away from home since I didn't have the right setup for it. (trust me, I tried and the results were really terrible :/) I'm back home now, but still doing another internship 40 hours a week. I'm really tired whenever I get back so it only leaves me with the weekend to work on the blog.

Thankfully I found a bit of time this week to prepare a few makeup looks for you all! I also found this Kakuna makeup I did before I left that I never had the chance to use. I don't remember all the products I used to create it tough so I'll just explain briefly what I remember. I used mostly my BH 120 1st Edition Palette and the Coastal Scents 88 Warm for the shadows. I can't remember the false lashes, brow products or liner I used but the mascara is the Clump Crusher as usual. Hope you all enjoy this one! Summer Series : Precious Metals Dramatic Eyes

Hey everyone! Today I have something a little different to share with you all! It's a full step-by-step tutorial, with before and after pictures! It took a bit longer than usual to set this up, so I hope you all enjoy it! Let me know what you think of this kind of posts in the comments! Should I do more of these?

So this look is another summer going out look. I paired very monochromatic skin and lips, with gold and copper eyes. I really like how it looks and it feels very summery to me! Keep scrolling for more pictures, a step-by-step tutorial and close-ups!

Tutorial

1) Prime the lid using UDPP. Apply the color tattoo all over the lid. Apply Brule up to the brow bone to get a nice even canvas to work with.

2) With a fluffy brush, define the crease using NYC sunny bronzer and the matte terracotta shade from the Tarte palette.

3) Using a dark reddish brown color on a small shading brush, apply to the outer and inner corners of the lid.

4) Using a coppery color, apply to the rest of the lid, except the center.

5) Apply an amber colored shadow to the center of the lid

6) On the lower lashline, apply a creamy gold base. Go over the cream base with a light gold shadow in the inner corner and with a deeper gold on the rest of the lower lash line. 

7) Apply black liquid liner, black pencil liner on the waterline, mascara and false lashes if desired.

Fill in brows and apply foundation, concealer and powder. Lightly contour and bronze the skin with a matte bronzer. Use a bronze or coral blush and nude lipstick or gloss to finish off.

Navy Blue Eye with a Pop of Burgundy

I've been feeling like doing a navy smokey eye for a bit now. I did one way back in the day and I had really loved the results. I thought it would be nice to do it again now that I have a better set up. I didn't want to recreate my old look exactly, so I decided to put a twist on it and add a pop of burgundy to the center of the lid. I'm really quite happy with how it looks and I think it would be perfect for a night out!

Disney Villains Series : Cheshire Cat Inspired Makeup

I went bright, strippy and bold with this one and although it looks a little circus-ey, I think it's a super fun and playful look, just like the Cheshire cat. Ombre Metallic Copper and Gold Liner with Dramatic Cut Crease

Hey everyone! Sorry my post is a little late, I've been busy lately. Quick post today since I'm studying and don't have much time. Just tought I would share this makeup look I did! Fun fact, this is a actually a fail trial run for a Jafar inspired makeup look. Now, I'm super happy with this look, it's only that I feel it's not quite Jafar-esque enough to warrant it being an inspired makeup. Since I can't use it for my Disney Villains series (at least in my opinion), but still do really love it, I thought I would just post it randomly to show you all! Eye of the Day : Deep Ruby and Purple Combination
