Vegas Part 2

The second part of our trip in Las Vegas was just as exciting as the first, if not more :) Here's a little recap of the last days we spent there.

On the fourth day, since we hadn't seen them yet, we decided to go on the strip and watch some of the free shows. We went to the Mirage's volcano first, then the Bellagio fountains (both of which were super impressive!). After that we went to see the moving statues at the Cannal shops and finally the Siren's of Treasure Islands, which is a muscial show with live ship battles and fireworks. Everything was really fun, but the strip was packed with people and after a couple hours we were exhausted. The next day, we booked tickets to see a magic show, the Illusions by Jan Rouven, a german illusionnist. The show was quite impressive and entertaining. The tricks were  spectacular and the magician was very good and interacted with the audience well. Right now his show is at the Clarion hotel, a small hotel right off the strip, but he told the audience that the show was moving at the Riviera hotel on the strip soon. That means he's upgrading basically, which is great! The show was very fun and I think it deserves a spot on the strip :)

The next day we went to see the Blue man group show at the Venetian. Before that, we had a great meal at Postrio's bar & Grill, which is also located at the Venetian. We booked our tickets with a company called Tix 4 Tonight (actually we booked all of our shows there) and when purchasing tickets, it's possible to pay 2 or 3 dollars more to get rebates on meals at selected restaurant. We paid 2$ more to get 20% off our check at Postrio right before the show. They caan even make the reservation for you. It's quick and super convenient. I had pancetta wrapped meatloaf with mushroom gravy and Mathieu had a spicy pepperonni and salami pizza. Everything was really yummy and the meal ended up being quite cheap. We also had a bottle of Chardonnay which was very good. The show afterwards was probably my favorite show of all our trip. (and trust me, I adored Mystère) We weren't sure about seeing it, but I'm so glad we did! It was hilarious and really impressive. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that has a chance to go!

On the last day, we relaxed in our room and played slots a little, but nothing special. Our plane was leaving at 1am and I knew I wouldn't necessarly be able to sleep in the plane, so I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't be too tired for the trip back (we also had two layovers).

And that was pretty much it for our whole Vegas trip! We had tons of fun and I'm glad we went :)
